On n'en trouve presque plus trace nulle part, alors peut-être que l'endroit n'existe plus. L'info que je reproduis date de juillet 1997, bien de l'eau a coulé sous cette rivière depuis. Possible que les habitués se retrouvent maintenant à Oka.

Riviere Rouge, between Ottawa and Montreal, Canada. This location is midway between Ottawa and Montreal, just north of the Ottawa River. Riviere Rouge runs into the Ottawa River after crossing east-west Highway 148, and is a short distance west of Calumet, Quebec. If coming from Ontario, cross the Ottawa River at Hawkesbury, go north to Hwy 148 and then west on Hwy 148 past Calumet. You can park just south and east of the point where Hwy 148 crosses Riviere Rouge. After a short walk on a path along the east side of the river north from the highway, you'll come upon two rock outcroppings, the first one for the clothes-burdened, the second for the clothes-free. The two areas are separated by a tiny bay, and the two groups are in sight of each other, but there's no problem -- Quebeckers are quite tolerant of nudity. Here, the river's edge is made up of large flat rocks, perfect for sunning. The rocks drop off into the water, so you can jump or dive into the river. There's a fast current, and people jump out from the edge, and let themselves be carried for a short distance downriver, breaking free to swim into the little bay. If you do this take care, because it's easy to miss the "turnoff" into the bay, with the result that you'll be pulled down the river into some rapids. Float feet-first for safety's sake. This is a very pretty area, with a forest extending uphill from the river bank. Some people were camped there, but I don't know if camping is officially permitted. You can walk north along the river bank for a good distance, and it appears that no one is bothered if you are nude (but wear sandals to protect your feet). You'll come upon more rapids, a dam, deep pools, waterfalls and eventually, a sandy beach. Whitewater rafting groups and kayakers may pass you on the river, and you'll get some "thumbs-up" signals from the boaters if you are nude. When I was there on a warm summer Saturday, there were about 40 people, half clothes-free, split evenly between women and men, with a few kids as well. During the week, you may encounter only a few people. One of the more pleasant clothing-optional spots in Canada.
